Gray Catbird Eggs And Newborn Babies

Found this Catbird nest in a bushel of bamboo growing in my backyard.  Just took the pic of the babies today.  They took about 12 days to hatch.

Jo's Eye

I was zoomin' up on a bird with my camera and then decided to see how close up Jo's face would appear if I pointed the camera at her.  Then I snapped the photo really without paying attention to what I was doin'.  I think I like it.

Five Blue Bird Eggs

After the Blue Bird and Wren battle that lasted for days, the Blue Bird's were victorous...with my help.  Cant wait to see the babies later.

The Peaceful Country

As a visual artist it seemed to be the norm to surround oneself with urban influences.  I lived in LA and New York but nothin' beats the country life here in Missouri.  Just recently, I lost a Bradford Pear tree this spring due to high winds.  This picture here is of me burinin it till late in the evening.

Operation Mole: Success

This morning I awoke early and saw that the traditional metal, spike mole trap had gone off.  The mole was still in the ground squirming.  The spikes just trapped him without actually piercing him.  When I would touch his nose he would open his mouth revealing teeth sharp as needles.  I let him go down the road in some woods.  I watched as he dug a tunnel to freedom
